The forgotten children in a forgotten world. On a global scale, the country of Nepal is often overlooked; a forgotten land. And the blind children of Nepal are often ignored within their own country because of the lack of resources and funding. Blind children in rural Nepal often have very few opportunities to receive an education and an opportunity for a future beyond the walls of their family home and begging in the streets. Rebuild Nepal Education Foundation is hoping to make a palpable difference in this disparity, one child at a time.
2024 brought necessary supplies for the visually impaired to Chandidevi Rastriya Secondary School, a school that welcomes the visually impaired and considers inclusion in the general classroom as crucial for their education. Generous hearts donated much needed Braille materials, white canes, tactile tools, sensory aids, Braille books, and much more to make this school an oasis of learning for the visually impaired. A child’s education begins with becoming a fluent reader in Braille and then progresses into inclusion in the general classroom.
You Can Make a Difference!
Presently a small handful of blind students are enrolled at this school. The hope is to locate and provide an opportunity for uneducated blind students; enrolling them at Chandidevi School to begin their education and have hope for a future. Your donation can provide a scholarship for a visually impaired child to attend and even board at this progressive school. 100% of every dollar goes directly toward these students’ education.
